Balatonfüred a Balaton északi partján, lankás dombok által körülölelt 13.500 lakosú kisváros. Ősi, már a római korban is lakott település. Ősi lakónegyedek, régi épületek, templomok, hangulatos szőlőskertek, parkok, vén fák üzennek a ma emberének. Nevét először 1211-ben a tihanyi apátság birtokösszeírásában említik.

Írta: Balatonfured.hu 2023. június 21. Elkészült a Kerektemplom felújítása, mostantól újra lehet misézni a kápolnában. A római Pantheont idéző templomot kívülről teljesen felújították, új vakolatot kapott, restaurálták a bejárati kapuját és az oszlopait. Renoválták az altemplomát, ahol kiállításokat szerveznek majd.
