Typically used to promote singles, flexi records are more limited in their sound quality and lifespan than standard vinyl records, but easier, faster and less expensive to produce.

Most flexi discs are manufactured from sheets of PVC but they can also be made out of a resin-coated cardboard or embossed paper.
