The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is one of the oldest game reserves in South Africa. It was first designated as a protected area in 1895, following the success of a successful campaign to save the rhino. The park covers an area of 96,000 hectares, equivalent to Greater London. The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi area comprises two separate game reserves.
