The Scott Monument is a 200-foot-tall gothic spire in honour of Scottish poet Sir Walter Scott. It is located at the eastern end of Princes Street Gardens and offers some unique views of Edinburgh Castle. The stairs to the monument are 287 steps, and visitors can learn more about Scott and his work on the first level.
